Our members met at Chuck & Alice's home in April:
What a great group this is - our meeting today turned into a wonderful open discussion. We started with a
discussion on club pins and then moved on to select our entry for PNKCA Koi of the Year - Chuck & Alice's newest addition
from California. Then an animated discussion of the Matsunosuke seminar in California - centered around pictures of
the event (yes, the projector worked fine today). Then Sharon led the group in understanding the variety Showa - we
decided to continue this at the next meeting since we were just getting started on this complex koi. After discussing
our options, Phyllis demonstrated proper application of potassium permanganate in a short treatment of Harmon's pond - clearing
the bacteria and helping make the water safe for the soon-to-join them new koi sitting in quarantine right now. And
some of us continued the meeting by way of a sort of vehicle conga dance to Fischbach's pond, again offering lots of opinions
and advice for one of our own.
