April 12 Workshop
This month's meeting featured guest speakers Spike Cover and Dick Benbow. An Invitation was made to the Spokane
IEWGKS members to join us. This educational workshop was focused on water quality parameters affected by water hardness,
alkalinity, salinity, pH, dissolved organic carbon. Spike and Dick complimented each other with their combined knowledge
as to how ideal water conditions enhance not only the health but also the overall appearance of black (sumi), red
(beni) and white (shiro).

There was lots of interaction between our speakers and those attending the workshop. Here Carmen and Dick interact

Spike presented graphs reflecting the results of water parameters affected by water temperatures, dissolved organics
affecting ORP, the effects of biological action on ammonia and nitrite levels, illlustrating how each effects water qualilty.
During the lunch break, interaction continued as seen here with Bruce and Spike.
